Mar 27, 2020:   An Appeal for Donations to Combat the National Disaster Caused by Novel Coronavirus ABUTA has decided, to raise a fund for the purpose and requests all to donate generously to it. The collected fund will be transferred to the West Bengal "Chief Minister Relief Fund". Nov 28, 2019:   ABUTA JU Local Chapter would like to appeal all the members to join the deputation to the VC, JU at 12:00 noon on Dec 2, 2019 demanding immediate actions against: 1) the use of narcotics in the campus, irregularities in essential services, 2) insufficient aids for teacing and research, and 3) practice of non-uniformity among teachers beyond UGC guidelines, etc.

Nov 13, 2019:   ABUTA would like to appeal all the members to participate the ceasework during November 19-20 demanding: 1) immediate implementation of 7th pay-revision with UGC guidelines, and 2) rejection of undemocratic and Anti-people Education act on 2017 and 2019 by State and Central Governments.

Jun 19, 2018:   The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Human Resource Development sought views/suggestions "on the role of UGC in promoting quality and excellence in higher education, giving affiliation to Universities and Colleges and promotion of research, innovation and skill development". The ABUTA has participated in the process. On 19 June 2018 the Executive Committee met on the issue, discussed at length. The General Secretary will finalise the memorandum on the suggestions given by the members. He will circulate it for further opinion from members before sending to the Standing Committee by 24th.

  7. Jun 5, 2018:   The President, ABUTA appeals to join the Convention, on June 7, 2018, 1:00 PM at Ashutosh Memorial Hall, demanding CBI investigation to find the truth behind the death of a teacher, Rajkumar Ray.

Apr 19, 2018:   A meeting of ABUTA will be held on April 26, 2018, Thursday, at 4:00 pm at the office of ABUTA, Jadavpur University Local Chapter, TEQIP Building, First Floor, Jadavpur University, Kolkata 700032. Conveners of all Local Chapters and General Members of ABUTA are requested to join the meeting.
    Agenda:   To discuss and decide the course of actions on the issue: Joint movement against central and state anti-people education policy called by ABUTA.
